About the test scope

Syntax#

\xleftarrowo[a]optional math contentm{b}math content

Argspec o m — one optional and one mandatory argument. Reading argspecs

Examples#

\xleftarrow[b]{a}

In TeXForm#

TeXForm parses this entry as prefix syntax; the package determines its argument specification.

Equivalent forms#

  • \overset{a}{\leftarrow}approximate

    These approximate the annotated-arrow effect but do not reproduce the same stretching and spacing behavior as \xleftarrow.

  • \underset{b}{\overset{a}{\leftarrow}}approximate

    Close in intent for both labels, but stretching and spacing differ from the AMS construction.
